Located in Abilene TX, this large home reinterprets the one-story Ranch Home.  Similar to traditional ramblers, this home is simple in plan, divides the living wing from the sleeping areas, and keeps ornamentation simple.  We incorporated large windows and sustainable materials to push the design beyond the traditional style.  Since the home is located in a dense neighborhood, not on a large parcel like many of the original ranch homes enjoyed, we created privacy with courtyards created through the use of  planters and site walls.
