Rustic yet contemporary, this 8000 square foot home sited on a horse ranch outside of Vail, Colorado is comprised of ranch-inspired forms. Blended together into a coherent whole, the home appears unassuming from the entry side but opens up to huge views of the Colorado River in back. Building forms are not designed as literal interpretations of local traditions but are abstracted to create a unique and exciting home that pays tribute to its surroundings.
