This small home was designed by Freddie Valdez and Kirk Aker while they were both at Morter Architects. The owner had a very successful career designing metal structures, mainly off shore oil rigs. As a tribute to his long and prosperous career the home's structure was designed out of steel. This exposed structure is wrapped by a store front window system with a stone base and cedar accents. The cor-ten roof hovers over the structure looking almost unsupported
