This remodel/addition was designed by Valdez Architects and turned this old Frisco Colorado cabin into a large rustic mountain home.

This rather large mountain home was once a simple one bedroom log cabin. Two previous additions had left the floor plan cut-up and unorganized. Our goal was to unify the exterior architecture, organize the floor plan and add a new master suite along with an art studio.

We add something new to Breckenridge architecture by striving for fresh, modern designs that are sustainable, high-performance and energy-efficient places for living.

Though Breckenridge architects have been around scarcely 30 years, it's architecture has been around almost 150 years. We are intrigued by these older forms and materials indigenous to Summit County and the Rocky Mountains. Log cabins, mining structures and the Breckenridge architect's favorite, the A-frame are some of the places where we find our inspiration. Designing this way allows us to design contemporary homes that exceed client expectations and fit with the built landscape in Breckenridge.
